Daring thief decides to sell gold
A couple of days ago, the police arrested a man in his forties. He was trying to sell gold jewellery that he had stolen two days before from a house of a wealthy family from Manchester. The thief placed an offer on a free auction website. He must have felt really confident because he added some photos of the stolen jewellery. The family had already reported the burglary to the police. They were also looking for the thief on their own. They checked all internet auction websites that they could find in order to check whether somebody was trying to sell gold. Of course, when they saw the photographs, they recognised their own rings, necklaces and pendants immediately. They called the police once again and shared their discovery. The man"s identity was established with the help of the webmaster. The thief was arrested two days later. He was trying to escape the country but the police caught him just as he was boarding a plane to Germany. He was not surprised. He looked as if he was ready to meet his fate. The daring thief has just been charged with some other offences such as stealing ten gold bullion bars from a bank vault and trying to sell gold that did not belong to him. He can be sentenced to five years in prison.
